First Outing for New Vertidrain
First in a series of new course machinery purchases to support the 5 Year Course Plan.
https://rothleypark.co.uk/member-home/5-year-report/ The Vertidrain 7316 is lighter than our existing Vertidrain and is therefore much more versatile. A well as tees, greens and fairways we can now aerate green surrounds and approaches throughout the year.
Congratulations to Greenkeeper Jamie Watson
Confirming our continued commitment to staff training, Jamie Watson has successfully completed and passed his Pa1, Pa2 and Pa6 spraying examinations at Park Hill Training Centre.

Over Seeding all Greens with Bent Grass
Over seeding of all greens with a Bent grass mixture. Increasing the percentage of bent grass in the sward will make the greens more heat tolerant and drought resistant and require less chemical input.

Green’s Week Underway
Greens’ week is underway with solid tinning to a depth of between 4 and 7 inches on most greens and all green surrounds. The 7th, 15th and 17th greens will be hollow cored because of the instances of anaerobic black layer present in these greens.
