A new world record for the fastest 18 holes to be played by a team of golfers was set at Rothley Park on Sunday 15 August 2021.
Captains Jenny Piecha and Alan Dorn, alongside the 160 club members who took part said, “Everyone is thrilled at the success and to have lowered the record by a whole minute!”
The previous record was 13 minutes and 43 seconds, set by Farnham Golf Club in Surrey in 2015.
Our team managed the 18 holes on their third attempt in just 12 minutes and 40 seconds. We also raised over £2000 for the captain’s charities – well done to all our members.
Update:
31st July 2023. Congratulations to Zwartkop Country Club in South Africa. They have beaten our record with a time of 11 minutes and 55 seconds.
