The clubhouse was buzzing this evening at the end of a fantastic Ladies’ Championship and Festival of Golf. The main comp culminated in a three hole play-off between mother and daughter Jo & Vicky Mayfield, who had both finished their 36 holes on 157 gross. Jo came off the eventual winner by one stroke. Ronnie Porte won the Bronze Championship and Helen Morrell picked up the nett prize. In other competitions run today, Captain Jan Dorn won the 18 hole Stableford with 40 points, Lou Preedy won the 9 hole comp and Stephanie Harper won the Flag 50 event. Well done to all the winners and a big thank you to all who made the day a resounding success, including the catering staff who provided some delicious food for the hungry golfers and spectators!
