The home leg of the first round of this year’s Taskers knockout competition against The Nottinghamshire took place at home this afternoon. The team went into the leg 4:3 down after a very close first leg at The Nottinghamshire. After another very exciting match, played on a cool but lovely sunny day, Rothley are through to round two, after winning 5:2, giving an aggregate score of 8:6! The team were (from left to right) Kim Turner, Libby Carter, Sam Furlong, Cate Alexander, Caroline Simpson, Mandy Horsley and Ronnie Porte. LC Jan Dorn (and mascot) was there to cheer them on. Well done to all the team, in both legs, and a special mention to Sam for her amazing putt to clinch the match on the 18th. Bring on Round 2!
