Update – 1st April 2026

We have now established and agreed Terms of Reference with the Board, and our initial work is focused on assessing the current condition and functionality of the building. This includes a review of the structure and fabric of the clubhouse and an evaluation of key internal areas such as the kitchen, bar, social and entertainment spaces, changing rooms, meeting rooms, and storage.

 

Our objective is to develop a clear set of minimum essential requirements alongside a range of optional enhancements that could be considered within the available capital expenditure budget. As part of this process, we will actively seek feedback from both the membership and the Board to understand priorities, preferences and the financial trade-offs involved.

 

We are also examining the skills and resources needed to deliver each stage of the project, identifying where internal capability exists and where external expertise may be required. In parallel, we are managing the ongoing subsidence insurance claim and ensuring that its outcome is fully integrated into our review and the options we present.
