Congratulations to RPGC greenkeeper Jamie Watson who finished runner up in the BIGGA National Championship.
Jamie was taking part in his first ever BIGGA national finals.
The 1st round was at Wallasey where he shot a tremendous bogey free round of 64, 8 under par on a lovely calm day ! Tied for the lead going into the 2nd round at Royal Liverpool the weather had changed dramatically and the players faced 30-40 mph winds and rain on a brutally difficult test of golf . Jamie ended up shooting 80, 8 over par to finish level par for the tournament and just missing out on 1st place by one shot !!
